Fall
Back to School Program
As the school year winds down for local students, we at Reach Out Lakota are planning for the Fall 2009 Back-To-School Program. This program has provided school supplies to students in need in our community for more than 15 years. The success of this program relies on the generous support of local churches, businesses, and countless individuals. We invite you to help us continue this valuable service to the community by making a donation of new school supplies to Reach out Lakota by August 1st. The attached document provides a list of items that are common among most schools in the Lakota School District. Please let a program coordinator know if you are interested in participating in the Back-to-School Program as a volunteer and/or contributor.
In addition to the need for school supplies, many local families experience additional hardship during the summer. This is primarily caused by an increase in child care and grocery expenses because their children are now at home during the day. For this reason our pantry often experiences an increase in the need for food and services during the summer months. As a result, our pantry often experiences an increase in the need for our services. You can help by conducting a food and clothing drive in your neighborhood, office, or parish. A list of items to collect is available on-line at www.reachoutlakota.org.
Thank you in advance for supporting our program. We truly look forward to working with you.
Warm Regards,
